I have been given the opportunity of a lifetime. God has blessed me with a job in Cartaya, Spain. For the 2011-2012 school year I will be teaching English to elementary school students. This is such an exciting adventure that lays ahead of me. I have the amazing support from the people in my life. I know that God has put each one in my life for a specific reason: to help me become who I am meant to be.
How I got here:
I am a student at Kennesaw State University majoring in Communications with a concentration in Public Relations and minoring in Spanish. I was approached by my Spanish teacher the past fall with the amazing opportunity. She told me about how she lived in Spain for a year which in turn gave her insight into what career path she wanted to follow and also fulfilled her longing to be apart of the Spanish culture. My jaw dropped, that is EXACTLY what I need!!

An excerpt from my application essay:
Spanish has always been an intricate part of my life and I hope to develop more understanding of my passion as I grow older. I desire to instill the respect I have for other cultures and languages in our youth. There is so much to learn from our neighbors and I want to take every opportunity to embrace what they have to teach. If you are interested about the program, you can find the link here.
